Hi Raffaele sorry it has taken this long to give feed-back on our recent holiday , but we just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our 5 days in Agropoli, in your apartment Copenhagen. After a bit of a sticky start, we both found your hospitality to be really good, most helpfull and the apartment very comfortable. We were also gratefull of your recomendation to use Katerina for our taxi service, she was simply brilliant( could you foward her address, so we can send a Christmas card to her) We shall certainly recomend you to our friends & collegues!! Hope you are well Kind regards Penny + Barbara.

Thank you for a most enjoyable stay at Villa Leone from 5th to the 12th of October 2009. We attach our comments for your visitors book: The location is perfect in respect of panoramic views and geographics (access and proximity to local station and local amenities etc). Agropoli is a friendly seaside resort with a dramatic old town on the edge of a beautiful National Park. The apartment was of a high standard, bright and well maintained. It was reasonably well equipped and overall represented excellent value for money. The owner Raffaele was very attentive and helpful. We would certainly consider going back some time in the future. Regards Paul & Sue Webster plus friends from England

Hi Raffaele, We had an enjoyable and relaxing holiday in apartment London and the magnificent view of the bay and harbour from our apartment made eating our meals on the balcony thoroughly enjoyable. We appreciated you meeting us on our arrival in Agropoli, even though it was late in the evening, to take us to Villa Leone and show us our apartment. Also appreciated was the warm welcome you gave us and bringing us, on our first morning, fresh bread and Marion's home-made jam which was absolutely delicious. Your fluent English made life for us very easy and the fact that you were so helpful and available at all times. We explored Pompeii and Herculaneum which we found very interesting and climbed to the crater of Vesuvius which was fascinating. We toured the Amalfi coast with the pretty towns of Ravello and Positano. The island of Capri was a lovely day though exhausting walking around the island and along the coast but well worth the walk for the beautiful scenery. We spent many an afternoon on the lovely sandy beach in Agropoli which provided perfect swimming. We especially loved the boat ride to the caves and bay at Palinuro visiting the amazing blue grotto. We would not hesitate to recommend these apartments to anyone wanting to visit this lovely part of Italy. Thank you again for making our stay so enjoyable. Regards, Peter, Diana, Richard and Krystina - UK

Great week from the 22-08-2009 in Agropoli and in apartment Copenhagen. Booking over the website was no issue at all and the best was that the pictures on the website do not live up to the apartment itself. We expected it smaller - reality was crackin. Spotlessly clean, with the good smell of familiarity. It was an absolut great experience for the two of us. Lovely views from the balcony, sleeping up to 11 in the morning for then slowly crawling out of our comfy bed to enjoy our summer break. Paestum and Pompeii a must, Amalfi and Sorrento too expensive but we´ve been there, beaches in Santa Maria perfect what else remains to say: Summerbreak roll on - we´ll be back for sure. Thanx for everything. Alex and Marina - Obar Dheathain - Aberdeen

Hi Raffaele and Marion We had a wonderful and relaxing holiday in apartment San Francisco. The apartment is simply but nicely furnished and has a great view out to sea, and over to the centre of Agropoli. We really enjoyed the choice of the two outdoor areas for eating and relaxing, and as you know, made great use of the big table on the terrace. Air conditioning in the main bedroom was very much appreciated, as was your coming to meet us on the first day at San Marco Lido, and the warm welcome you both provided. It was so helpful having advice on interesting places in the area, as well as the realisation that 2 teenagers may not have the same interests as their parents, and your restaurant reviews were also very helpful, even if we didn't get to as many as we would have liked. Roman ruins, Greek temples, hill caves, the Amalfi coast, many beaches, interesting hill towns and the amazing blue grotto at Palinuro all within easy reach, as well as Agropoli itself. The evening watching shooting stars from the terrace was also a great novelty, and had a party atmosphere. We were of course rather ruined by the facility both of you have in English, which perhaps reduced our need for Italian at the apartment, even though there was plenty of opportunity to practice in this largely Italian tourist area. Most important was the help you provided when we ran into trouble with our hire car, and your dealings with the hire car company and emergency serivces over those few days. This would all have been a much greater problem, and caused much greater hassle and lost time without your kind intervention and support. All in all it was a highly enjoyable two weeks, and we can recommend your apartments without hesitation to anyone interested in visiting this lovely region of Italy. With best wishes to you both, and many thanks, The Shattles Family - UK

Many thanks again for a wonderful holiday. I can’t believe that this was our fifth year on the trot with you. The accommodation was excellent, as always, and it was really nice to see you both again. The Villa Leone is becoming a real home away from home for us – and we are still finding new things to do! This year we revisited some old “friends” as my nephew had come with us – so we went to Capri (the ferries from Agropoli in July & August make visiting the Amalfi Coast, Capri and Naples so much easier than taking the car), Paestum, Salerno, a day out on the Cilento Explorer is also a must for us, and visits to the gorgeous beaches at Santa Maria, Trentova and, of course, Agropoli. We enjoyed the festivities for Santa Maria di Constantinopoli on 24 July – the town really hops on that day! Loads of stuff happening in the town centre – I loved the puppet show being held in the square near the war memorial – and in the port. We also had an afternoon in the cool air-conditioned Carrefoure shopping mall near Battapaglia – lots of shops to wander around. (Note to other visitors: we find signposting for this mall on the SS18 to be totally confusing – much easier to find the place if you follow signs from the coastal road to Salerno!). On another day we hired a boat from the port in Agropoli and took it down the coast a little to spend the day swimming, snorkelling, picnicking etc. That was fantastic fun. Nicola was really helpful and between his English and our Italian, we managed to sort out the booking just fine! As well as all of the above we still managed a few days in the Penthouse, following the shade (or sun!) round the three balconies, reading and relaxing. The Penthouse is perfect for that. We’ve noticed that quite a bit of work has been going on in Agropoli since last year improving the town etc and a number of new restaurants have also opened up. Our favourite new one is Il Vecchio Battalo (I think I have that correct now I’m back home and the memory is fading!) near the covered fruit & veg market. The restaurant itself, service & food were all excellent – and nowhere near as expensive as the red Ferrari parked outside would have you believe!! All in all, a lovely holiday with loads of new memories. Hopefully we’ll be back again next year. Love, Valerie and Robert

Thank you Raffaele and Marion for a perfect week. Too much is too much... Everybody needs a holiday off from the everyday business and sorrows in the news about unemployment, recession and financial meltdown. Our wish to spent a week of care free living became true in our recent holiday in the Villa Leone. We got a good discount as a last minute booking two weeks before and found it to be a very good base to venture and explore the Campania area in Italy. Eating out at the Dea´s Restaurant was cheap and made the kitchen somehow superfluous for the cooking. We went sightseeing, swimming and sunbathing in Trentova Bay and strollin out in the mild evenings in the center and harbour in Agropoli. A relaxing week on the penthouse terrace to switch off from all horribile BBC news with G & T in the sunchairs and great views over the bay at night. We really needed that break and will recommend Villa Leone to all friends and family. Michael Davis - Terry Jones - UK

Dear Raffaele. Thank you for this perfect experience in Agropoli. We have stayed in the penthouse apartment inside the Villa Leone in Agropoli and found it to be the perfect location to explore once again the enchanting Amalfi- and Sorrento Coast and the Cilento Nationalpark area. Comparing pricing, location and quick access to all major roads our lucky choice was Villa Leone as we didnt want to end up again stuck in traffic in crowds of tourists as with our last visit on the Sorrento Coast in June 2006. The apartment was spotlessly clean with air-con and really, really comfy appointed with all you could wish for. Unbelievable but true, next to kettle, toaster, teamugs and sandwich toaster we found a food processor which was a nice extra to have Pasta with fresh basil pesto, pine nuts and Parmesan cheese. Restaurant advices absolutely spot-on, food was magic and to die for and pricing absolutely affordable. The temperature in May was simply perfect for us. The sun was always shining and the stunning views from the penthouse contributed to a perfect break in lower season. Raffaele though working as a fisherman was always very helpful and available at all times. A brilliant fortnight living the life of Riley... We shall be back... Alex and Jenny Parker - England
